If itβs your first time buying trophies and awards for a special event, there are some things you should take into consideration.
Having been in the industry for so many years, we have seen many buyers make silly mistakes that have cost them money and time. We donβt want you to make these same mistakes, so we have decided to share them with you!
Check the Spelling- TWICE
There is honestly nothing more embarrassing than getting the recipientβs name engraved on a trophy, only to realise that you have spelt it wrong! By the time you realise, it may be too late to change it, so we highly recommend checking the spelling of each and every word you wish to engrave on the trophy.
No Glass Trophies for Kids
Glass trophies are absolutely stunning, and a great choice for adults, but glass trophies are not safe for kids. Kids can be very clumsy and we all know what happens when a glass trophy is dropped. Keep kids safe and buy them acrylic or wooden trophies instead.
Donβt Pay Too Much
Donβt get ripped off. Just because a trophy looks fantastic, does not mean it is worth an exorbitant price. Do some price checks of similar trophies to ensure that you are paying a fair price for your award.
Do Not use Untrustworthy Trophy Companies
Whatever you do, avoid buying from a scam site. Some ways to ensure you will actually receive what you pay for include:
- Ensure that you are purchasing from a site that is based in your country
- Call the head office and speak to an actual human
- Read online reviews about the company, take notice if there are many unhappy customers
- Try use sites that have been around for at least a few years
Donβt buy the same size trophy for everyone
Since the first place achieved more, it is only fair that they receive bigger and better trophies than second and third place. It is a bit insulting to the winner, to give other top achievers the very same prize.
